Combar announces its support for the Charter for Black Talent

Combar is proud to announce its support for the Charter for Black Talent, established by Harry Matovu QC, himself a member of Combar.

Combar is determined to ensure that the Commercial Bar is, and is understood by all considering a career in this area, to be a welcoming, supportive and rewarding working environment irrespective of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion or belief, or disability. Combar’s support for the Charter for Black Talent reflects its commitment to all talent thriving equally at the Commercial Bar.

The Charter’s website can be found here: https://www.blacktalentcharter.com/

Combar’s support for the Charter ties in with a number of initiatives it has been working hard in the last few years to develop, including the establishment of the cross SBA Black Inclusion Group, being a founding sponsorship partner of Bridging the Bar, the setting up of the Race and Ethnic Minorities Sub-Committee, cross SBA CV clinics, setting up of a mentoring programme as well as working closely with a number of the Inns on outreach projects including the Gray’s Inn Griffin Scholarship programme and Inner Temple and Middle Temple work experience schemes.
