Monthly Forum:
Refocusing and Re-Engaging
During the past almost-two-years, many of us have learned (and re-learned and re-learned) that our time and our energy are precious resources. The CSJE directorate took the summer to step back and reconsider our normal routines, to clarify what drives us in our work, and to rededicate ourselves to putting our time and energy on those things that support our communities, and ourselves, thrive.
Now we're back, and filled with gratitude for this community of practitioners. We're looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our monthly forum, where we'll be focusing our conversation on reconnection, and on what we and our students need as our campuses "return to normal"—for better and worse. The monthly forum is on Friday, October 1st from 4pm to 5pm (EDT) on Gatheround.

New CSJE Involvement Opportunities
CSJE is looking for a few big-thinking, creative folks to join us in launching two new educational programs. The first is a Workshop Coordinator, who will lead the planning and implementation of ACPA-wide educational offerings on a theme we'll select collaboratively—currently we like the question "what does the abolition movement have to teach higher education?" but that's flexible. The second is the Reading Circle coordinator, who will organize a "reading group" for CSJE members—non-print media is welcome as well.
These positions are fully customizable, but if it helps, the above links will take you to a rough "responsibilities summary" for you to review or share with a colleague you think would be a great fit. Interested parties can contact Drew, the vice chair for educational opportunities, at dterhune@uoregon.edu.
