PVR INOX Unveils Luxury 7-Screen Multiplex At Pune's KOPA Mall

In a bid to expand its footprint in Maharashtra, PVR INOX has launched a seven-screen multiplex at KOPA Mall in Pune. The cinema, part of the company’s ‘The Luxury Collection’ portfolio, is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies like 4K Laser projection, Dolby Atmos sound, and Next Generation 3D.

What Happened: PVR INOX announced the opening of its new multiplex at KOPA Mall, Koregaon Park, Pune on Wednesday. The cinema marks the debut of the country’s leading luxury cinema formats, Director's Cut and ICE Theatres®, in the West Region.

The multiplex can accommodate 751 guests and offers a variety of culinary options such as The Popcorn Bar, La Cuisine, and Simply Sushi. PVR INOX operates the largest multiplex network with 1744 screens across 360 properties in 112 cities in India and Sri Lanka.

Ajay Bijli, managing director, PVR INOX, expressed his excitement about bringing the first ICE Theatres® and first Director's Cut experience to the Western Region with Pune. He stated, “Through the launch of our new out-of-home destination, we aspire to enrich Pune’s cultural panorama while offering audiences a unique blend of cinematic opulence and immersive entertainment."

The new cinema is expected to bolster PVR INOX’s presence in Maharashtra, where it currently operates 277 screens in 55 cinemas. In West India, the company now boasts a total of 367 screens in 79 cinemas. This expansion aligns with PVR INOX’s strategy to strengthen its foothold in the region and cater to the growing demand for luxury cinema experiences.
