Report: Neither Donnarumma or Lloris keen on swapping roles at AC Milan and Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur are short on goalkeepers at the moment with their captain and first-choice Hugo Lloris likely out injured until the new year.

Paulo Gazzaniga has stepped up into the number one role for now and looked at home against Liverpool after he made 12 saves to keep his side in the game.

Young Brandon Austin has been a regular on the bench since Lloris’ injury, with Michel Vorm now resigned on a free and in training.

However, a report from TuttoMercatoWeb has been talking about the idea of a possible swap of roles between Lloris and AC Milan star Gianluigi Donnarumma.

AC Milan would reportedly want €60m in January if they were to part with the young keeper, but they are said to face a stumbling block as the vast majority of big clubs now have settled big-name keepers.

Tottenham are said to be an exception, but Donnarumma is apparently not keen on a move to a ‘second-tier’ side and Hugo Lloris would ‘not accept’ a deal to Milan.

Spurs Web Opinion:

The time to replace Lloris is coming fast, with the Frenchman certainly now over the hill at Spurs. Donnarumma would be a huge signing for the Lilywhites and a big statement of intent from Daniel Levy, but I can’t help but feel the keeper will hold out for a bigger move. I also can’t see Spurs spending the money needed.
