Todd Gurley Scores 4 Touchdowns as Rams Smash Rival Seahawks, 42-7, in Seattle

The Los Angeles Rams are going to win the NFC West after they dominated the rival Seattle Seahawks, 42-7, on Sunday afternoon at CenturyLink Field.

Move over Seahawks, you've been dethroned.

The Los Angeles Rams are going to win the NFC West after they dominated the rival Seattle Seahawks, 42-7, on Sunday afternoon at CenturyLink Field.

The Rams must have watched the film on the Seahawks defense last week, as Seattle allowed 157 yards on the ground to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

With the Seahawks depleted on defense, the Rams ran early and often, as Todd Gurley finished the game with 152 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Gurley also did damage in the secondary as he caught three passes for 28 yards and a touchdown, giving the All-Pro running back a total of four touchdowns in arguably the biggest game of the season for Los Angeles.

In total, the Rams rushed for 244 yards against the Seahawks, as Seattle had no answer for the likes of Gurley and backup running back Malcolm Brown.

Jared Goff did not need to do a whole lost as he was 14-for-21 for 120 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

The Rams started slow with a couple of field goals by Greg "Leg-A-Tron" Zuerlein, but it didn't take long for LA's patient offensive attack to find the end zone as Gurley punched in his career-high 11th rushing touchdown of the season midway through the first quarter.

Gurley did it again, to start the second quarter, capping off a five-play, 36-yard drive with another 1-yard touchdown up the middle, his 15th of the season overall.

Leading 20-0, the Rams changed it up a little bit on their third score, as Goff found receiver Robert Woods in the front left corner of the end zone for the score.

Woods missed the last three weeks with a shoulder injury, but returned for the NFC West matchup with the Seahawks, making six receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown.

A few minutes later, Gurley made it a hat-trick when he found the end zone for the third time, breaking through the Seahawks front four, running 57-yards for the score.

By halftime, the game was all but over as the Rams led 34-0 at the break. Nonetheless, Gurley and the Rams put a cherry on top of their "Sunday," as he caught a pass from Goff out of the backfield, and walked in for the 14-yard score.

Gurley now has an NFL-best 17 touchdowns this season, and also leads all running backs with 11 100+ yard games from scrimmage this season.

Seattle's only score of the game on pass from Russell Wilson to tight end Luke Willson late in the third quarter.

The Rams improve to 10-4, and have a two-game lead in the NFC West, owning the tiebreaker, provided they are able to defeat the San Francisco 49ers at home in the final game of the season.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks (8-6) suddenly find themselves on the outside looking in on the NFC playoff picture. The Seahawks will need wins against the Cowboys and Cardinals in their final two games of the season.
