Gila trout to be reintroduced to Whitewater Creek

State wildlife managers say work is underway to restore Gila trout to the Whitewater Creek.

The Department of Game and Fish say they will introduce a pesticide next week into the water to remove non-native fish.

Once the invasive species have been removed, the Department will reintroduce native Gila trout.

The area will be closed on June 20 and 21.
