HelioHost Posted May 31, 2018 Share Posted May 31, 2018 If you donated to our GoFundMe campaign you should now have double the storage space up from 1000 MB to 2000 MB. There were a few donations that couldn't be associated with any accounts though. If you made your donation from a different email address than your HelioHost contact address we were unable to double your storage. If you donated and your storage space hasn't been doubled please let us know so we can correct the issue. Our apologies for taking so long to get this done, but all of the recent issues with Johnny delayed it by quite a bit. Usually we'd suggest moving pictures/videos/downloads to other services like imgur or dropbox to reduce the size. This violates our Terms of Service and will get all of your accounts suspended. We only allow one account per living person, regardless of the number of sites that person owns. An account also has a maximum of 2GB disk space with the upgrade, so it's impossible for any person to receive more than 2GB. Unfortunately your big blog sounds like it has outgrown our services and needs a paid hosting service at this point. We recommend hostgator for scenarios like this: https://heliohost.org/partners/hostgator It's a penny for the first month, if you don't like it you can cancel after that. We receive a portion of your fees if you decide to subscribe to their service. For the smaller ones that would probably fit, we can definitely give you the 2GB for $5 or more, but we don't offer any capacity beyond that. It's not because we don't want to, it's because we don't actually have the space to go around. We limit the space to 2GB so everyone has the opportunity to get it if they wish. We'd run out if we allowed more. Also, if we made an exception for you, it would not be fair to other users who also wanted more than 2GB of space (and were also turned away).
