• helping to lead meetings,
• working with other Commission Chairs and entity groups, 
• liaising with and/or leading some of the working groups within CSJE by providing support and guidance,
• working with the ACPA international office, and
• sharing in decision-making responsibilities that affect the Commission.

Rather than a formal election process, we have, in recent years, used a dialogic process that begins with self-nominations. Once you have let us know of your interest, we will organize a video conference where we will engage in conversation about the Vice Chair position. In past years, this time has been spent with each person indicating their personal and professional interests in the role, gaining clarification on what the expectations and realities are as a group, and coming to consensus about who will move into a Vice Chair role.

Please let us know by TOMORROW 3/2 at 3pm, (the start of our Annual Forum) if you would like to be a part of this dialogue, whether as an interested Vice Chair candidate or just to engage with potential candidates, by writing to csje@acpa.nche.edu (your email can be as simple as "I'm interested in being a Vice Chair!" or "I'm not interested but would love to attend the Vice Chair dialogue!"). We will then schedule the dialogue for the following week or as soon as we are able to find a mutual time. Even if you are new to CSJE,  we want to encourage you to consider this opportunity because having fresh perspectives within our leadership helps us to continue to be innovative and attentive to our current membership and needs.
