We hope all is well with you and your family and that you are fortunate to be enjoying your slice of paradise in sunny Southwest Florida! Our fall season has flown by - when not busy with work, we have staying busy with the great outdoors and hobbies (Brenda making a mess in the studio and Dave tearing down our kitchen and building a new one, and oh so close to being done with tiny boat aka "The Turtle.")
We highly treasure our business and personal relationships and want to ensure that you and your family are happy and comfortable in your new place. As always, we’re here if you need any assistance or have questions about local contractors and service providers, city or county questions, shopping or dining, entertainment etc.
Even though it’s been nearly 15 years, we remember well what it’s like to acclimate to a new area (we made some pretty funny mistakes like forgetting to homestead and going to the most expensive, and least effective, vet in town "the $600 Tummy Ache"… live and learn!).
If at any time you have questions about current market conditions, we’d be happy to provide you with an update on activity and values specific to your location. And certainly we’d love to chat about strategies if you are thinking about selling, upgrading, downsizing, or moving to a different type of property.
As it is the giving season, we dedicate this newsletter issue to a few of our favorite local charities. (A portion of each commission we earn goes to charity and we are grateful to have the opportunity to do so!)

Cape Coral Animal Shelter
Locally well known Cape Coral philanthropist and entrepreneur JoAnn Elardo (founder of Wicked Dolphin Rum and the downtown Cape Big Blue ) has spearheaded the effort to build a no-kill animal shelter in Cape Coral. It’s a large project and progress is steady, with ground breaking have been just a short while ago. The group is raising funds with the hopes to have the shelter operating by 2019.

Pace Center for the Girls - Lee County Florida
PACE provides girls and young women in Southwest Florida an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy. The work with girls that have 4 or more risk factors (Such as: foster home placement, substance abuse - by girl or family member, domestic violence, incarceration of a family member, neglect, physical/emotional/sexual abuse, grief, emotional health concerns, low income, and more.) The organization helps girls prepare for a lifetime of success: career preparation and exploration, school-to-work readiness skills training, and assistance with finding, applying, and interviewing for jobs, give PACE girls the edge they need to move forward.

Cape Coral Caring Center
In 1990, the Cape Coral Ministerial Association created the Caring Center as an agency to which people could turn for help during a temporary financial crisis. Since that time, the Caring Center has been recognized as a prominent factor in maintaining an acceptable lifestyle for citizens in need.
The clients they see just need a lift over the short-term, and a boost through an uncomfortable period in their life.

Lifeline Family Center
Lifeline helps young pregnant women in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and surrounding areas escape living in poverty and neglect. They enable these young women to redirect their lives and become self-supporting members of society. Their demanding2-year program offers a home, scholarship opportunities and childcare while they pursue an education. Lifeline Family Center provides all services without the assistance of government funding.

Local Lender Helping Veterans
On a final note, a local lender many of our clients work with, Hamilton Group Funding (Nathan Davis), just announced their "Hamilton for Heroes" program for Active and Retired Military. They are waiving all Lender Fees (over a $1500 savings) and issue a $100 post closing gift card. Nathan says, "The great thing is they do not have to do a VA Loan for the benefit. They can be buying a vacation home or investment property and still save the $1500."
